Where To Get A Hard Wax In Worcester Ma

Radio Massacre International - Start time

Radio Massacre International knew mainly from performance from the circle of rhythm, "Berlin school", but a meeting with the two-disc release, "Time & Motion" (2010) sparked interest in me, if by chance the team has not created in the past something like that, just as experimental. My search quickly proved successful.

Radio Massacre International - Startide

Startide the 2001 album contains only two songs. The compositions included on the disc come from 1993 (which is formed before the official debut of the RMI 1995 in the form of Frozen North). Saw the light of day as the official CDR released by the team and in accordance with the policy of the group includes a record of musical meetings at which reigned free improvisation. In our case firmly set in the Krautrock climates. Well, what is it that krautrock? The term was coined by British music press and had obelżywo-color humor. It meant literally "Swabian rock" and originally signed with the experimental variety of progressive rock formed in Germany in the 60s of the twentieth century. The name became popular only in the 70's. Lost then its pejorative tint and permanently stuck to the psychedelic, avant-garde (expanded, added a mechanical composition) and largely improvised electronic music. In today's universal, and somewhat shallower krautrock terminology may be mistakenly counted as one of the ambient currents (due to the complex sound structures.) But keep in mind that the ambient (as the term and genre) appeared and became widespread then and is based on a different technique to create.
Let us return to Startide. Opening the Monstrous Tides is just a bit weird (ie looped guitar, melodic and atonal effects, votes) prelude to the nearly hour Startide, which (with the right attitude) will take the listener on an unusual, even mystical journey. Already at the beginning sounds of the sea greeted us. With this magnitude of musicians spot out different hues and calmly weave tapestries peculiar sound. So the resulting "images" or a ripple in unpredictable directions, or to thicken suddenly putting before the eyes of fragments of galaxies, stars shine, abandoned vehicles or interstellar. Abstract structure floated lazily like gas clouds, and the mind from time to time will pick up the residual rhythm (or just so it seems). Lone zimituje mellotron flute here and there, and we sail on the electronic invoices crunch among electrons. And so on until the final climax in which everything disappears into nothingness breath.
This is not an easy album to read. I must admit that the most profound experience you get in a dark room with headphones on his ears. Music is more then absorbed (maybe it sounds weird, but not only have ears in that part). Works imagination, and the impact on the subconscious mind is not without significance. Such drug-feeding experiences of the head instead of sound use of various chemical substances and preparations.
