The opportunity to work directly with the young people from the Ukraine is unforgettable

I'm ashamed to say I'm sixty five years old and this was only my first mission trip but thank God He did not give up on me.  That opportunity to work directly with the young people from the Ukraine is unforgettable.  The power of the Word of God that was shared in the Bible lessons was so evident in their eyes. The last few days of camp it was so difficult to make direct eye contact with them.  Sharing our personal testimonies of how God has worked in each of our lives and to tell of His mercy to forgive and His faithfulness never to forsake us will be something I will never forget. 
Now that I've been home a few weeks and had time to reflect on the experience, it has really opened my eyes to what God is doing.  While at the camp I was so busy that it was difficult to appreciate exactly what was happening.  My prayers for the work and the people in the Ukraine is now so much more meaningful.�

Camp work is the most interesting and the most effective ministry I have ever been part of

Sasha Litvak, being a typical Odessa young man, is already many years actively supporting our Ukrainian camp ministry. This September he will join the IMM. Here a post he wrote for our blogsite a couple of days ago:

"This summer we had two English camps for young people. Each camp had more than seventy campers who all got the chance to hear the Gospel. The time we spent together was not only serious, we had also lots of fun. I am quite sure, none of them will ever forget this most precious time of great spiritual value. Most of them had never heard of God's plan of salvation before. There were all different kinds of people, and they perceived the Word in different ways, but we could see with our own eyes how they were changing with every day. I couldn't think of anything better in this world than watching how God is doing His work in the hearts of people. Towards the end of the camps we got more and more new brothers and sisters in the Lord. I personally am very happy that God did such a great work through these camps, and I am so grateful that He gave us the chance to be part of it all. So far God has greatly blessed this camp ministry. "
