Alex and Beth's Footnote Our warmest fall greetings to you! We are enjoying breathing in the cool air and watching the falling leaves around our city! Thank you for your prayers and support of us! Seasons change, but the goodness of our Lord is always constant, we rejoice in that!
Thank you for your prayers concerning our home Internet situation! We now have HOME INTERNET!!!! Yahoo!
We have just sent the first wave of follow-up correspondence Bible studies to campers from our summer camps who requested these. The study is in the form of a letter from our team mate Arkadiy. He sends an email version to all campers who so requested. We are sending 'snail mail' versions to all campers who want such a study, but have no email. This includes many in small villages where there is no Internet access and often no youth-oriented church.
The university where Beth studies Russian had no space for her during the month of September. We are VERY much hoping that there will be space for her to continue studying in October. Please pray for that with us! Beth finished the beginning-level course in August and is hoping to continue with the intermediate-level course.
Alex is in the process of taking one final exam this month (History of Anthropological Theory), and has another one in January (Linguistics in Anthropology).
The Guys Bible Study is going very well! We are praising God for how He creates such an interest in the guy's hearts to find the answers to the questions in their lives in the Scriptures! Some topics of discussion in past weeks have included: How should I relate to my live-in girlfriend of two years? Why is Jesus so important - why not just focus our attention on God the Father? (To this question God unlocked some astounding clues from Colossians 1:13-20) People say that being a Christian is 'fanatical' is that really the case?
Last week we attended the wedding of our friends in Crimea. We met this couple (and they met each other!) last year when they were both students at our IMM mission training school! We were able to take a couple extra days in Crimea to enjoy some relaxation and time together. This was Beth's first time to this GORGEOUS and unique location. We are attaching some photos from this time in Crimea.
Tomorrow we are heading to Poland for International Messengers staff conference. And perhaps - we are waiting now for a phone call - if Alex can reschedule his final exam for tomorrow instead of Sept. 29, we will be able to go to Romania after conference and speak at a follow up retreat for their summer camps. (The speaker they were planning on just had to cancel)
Our International Missionary Mentoring (IMM) training school will be starting on Wednesday September 28! There are 10 students registered for the 3 month training. Topics covered include Basic Theology, How to Study your Bible, Prayer, Spiritual Warfare, New Testament and much more. Then each student takes on a ministry internship following the training. Beth will be heading up English courses for the IMM students. So far we have 3 teachers from our staff. Pray for us as we organize the classes that we would be able to have a very effective program for the students!

All students leave Their working places or ministries for nine months to join the mission training and internship. We highly appreciate your prayers. God calls us to live in freedom to be themselves and not wander through life being a slave to the opinions of the crowd about you. And it is not necessary wear masks, do not play, but to live. A life with God - great! Is impossible to please all the people, so angry or resentful will always, always There will be people who will be in you that is not pleasant. But remember, try to please everyone - a losing option. God's will for us so that we have found His purpose for our lives, so we have opened a potential that he has put in us when we did.
